Miss Stardoll World 2013

I apologize I haven't been around...again... My senior year in high school had just begun about 2 1/2 weeks ago, and before that, I was busy with summer sports/activities and assignments that were due on the first day of class.

SO, anyways, all excuses aside...

Miss Stardoll World 2013 is here, y'all! So, put on on your best pearls and heels! It'll be a great competition this year!...and a tough one at that, since we're at 250,000,000+ members on Stardoll.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Just make sure you meet all of the requirements below and you will be entered automatically!

You Must:

• Be at least Level 10
• Have registered a verified email address. Need to verify? Click here!
• No personal info or links to external blogs should be in your presentation
• A friendly Stardoll personality (no spam, warnings or bad behavior)
• Have a great style and rocking Suite!

If you don’t see the Vote button in other users Suite’s then you don’t fulfill all the critera!

VOTING

FIRST ROUND: Starts on August 29th – vote buttons appear in all Suites! Vote on as many dolls as you like, but you can only vote on each doll once per day.

SEMI-FINAL ROUND: Starts on September 16 - vote once every day for your favorite semi-finalist

FINAL ROUND: Starts on October 17 - vote once a day for your favorite finalist

I'd like to talk to you guys about something. Stardoll isn't what it used to be. You may say, "Celestina, what do you mean by that?" Well, you see, my dear dollies, it's not so much about the creativity anymore or the expressing one's self. Rather, it's about who has the most LE, Hot Buys, Rares, etc.  It's all about being a Superstar. It's all about being Royalty. (I have nothing against people that own LE, Hot Buys, Rares, etc. or who are Superstars/Royalty--as I have friends who own/are those things). You may disagree with me, but on the inside, you know it's true. So, this year, make it a point to stop and really think before you vote for someone, "Am I voting for this person because of what they own or what their status is, or am I voting for them because they're unique and creative?"

Now that we're all on the same page, it's FREE GIFTS TIME!!! Who doesn't love free gifts?! And ones that are super duper pretty!!! Look at what y'all get to have!

So, now that I've updated you on all the latest Miss Stardoll World news, I'd like to tell you why I'd like to win:

No, I'm not going to throw you the "Plz vote 4 me. Its always been my dream to win MSW" bone. It honestly hasn't "always" been my dream. I just started Stardoll in the summer of 2012, but yes, it has been a dream of mine to win SOMETHING since the fall of 2012. 

Why you should vote for me:

I am a non-Superstar. Never have I been a Superstar, and I probably won't ever be due to the fact I'm saving up money for college. I haven't spent a single penny on Stardoll. Ever. You may ask, "Celestina, how did you get all of your things that cost SD?" I take surveys and complete offers given by Stardoll. Honestly, it can be a pain sometimes, but in the end, it really is worth it. What I'm trying to say is that I'm different in the sense that I really do work for what I own on Stardoll. It gives you a sense of pride (not the bad kind). You don't take what you own for granted, and it really teaches you how to spend your money wisely.

I'm a very creative and unique person. I'm really not your average 17 year old American girl. I like to be different--to be me. I don't want to conform to the world. I want to change the world. Unfortunately, I cannot change the Stardoll world in the sense that I can buy and sell my designs (due to the lack of Stardollars and a Superstar membership), but what  I can do is get the message out there that people shouldn't be afraid to be themselves.

Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.

Out with the Old and in with the...Old?

Hello, my beautiful dollies♥

I apologize for my absence. I've been busy with...well...life. :/ But that's a story for another time.

Anyways, I logged in today and noticed that the Original Future's Tribal Print Headband that everyone loved is back in the Starplaza for the original 39 Starcoins! YAY! 

I don't believe this was an "oopsies" because I saw other old items, as well. Just in case, I'd go buy them ASAP anyways. You know how Stardoll is -- your favorite item is there one day but gone the next.

Look familiar?

Maybe the reason why the picture looks familiar is because it's based off of this picture?

Amazing, right? It completely blew my mind how detailed and correct the design was. It's like you're looking at the real thing -- only Stardoll-ized.

Today I'd like to introduce you to a fellow Stardoll member and artist: Jay.R. He's 16, joined Stardoll on 2-10-2012, born an American, but currently resides in Ireland with his family. He says he enjoys Stardoll, most water sports, and relaxing on the couch at home! He has achieved the following: Covergirl - 08/07/2012, Scenery Winner 07/07/2012, Top Designers List - Fashion, Hottest Design - Interior x6 - 10/06/2102 - 05/09/2013,  Starmovie Winner 12/01/2102, National Covergirl x12, Hottest Design - Jewelry - 01/01/2013, Top Designers List - Interior, and Miss Stardoll World Sem-Finalist. Long list, huh? Yeah, I thought so too! I would say he's definitely deserved every single one of those achievements.

But the fact that he's achieved so much is not why I'm featuring him. It is because of what he has done to achieve those awards that made me want to feature him today. Take a look at some of his other creations:

Makeover Time (Again)!

Hello, my dears! :D

I forgot to take a picture of my last makeover before I saved it to my yearbook. Hehe :D So I did another one and decided to share it with y'all, as well. :)

This time I gave a makeover to the beautiful pickupthefone's MeDoll (again, with her permission)!

I was kind of playing around with the makeup and jewelry -- not necessarily going for any particular type of look. I ended up making her look like Rihanna on accident, but I still think it looks great! :D

What I used:
Hair: Bob with swooped bangs
Makeup: Dot Azure Sky Eyeshadow Stick, Dot Electric Purple Lipstick, Doree Ocean Blue Hair Dye, Dot Maroon Eyeliner
Jewelry: two sets of Spectacular Eyelashes, Sunny Bunny Dark Dotty Left Eye, Sunny Bunny Dark Dotty Right Eye, and Special Offer Big Earrings

Makeover Time!

Hey, everyone :D

So, Stardoll Academy gave me a task that required me to use at least 6 items from the Beauty Parlor on another person's MeDoll. I thought I'd post the before and after. :)

I used the lovely zhuzhu289's MeDoll (with her permission, of course)!

So, some of you may have noticed that I went for a 1920s Flapper look. :) It's one of my favorites!

What I used~

Hair: Light blonde, short, curly hairdo

Makeup: Dot Lile Lipstick (purple), Dot Sapphire Volumizing Mascara, Dot Dark Laveneder Eyeshadow, Dot Sapphire Liquid Eyeliner, Dot Butterchum Lipstick, and Transform Chestnut Blush

Jewelry: Hypnotic Fake Eyelashes, 3 sets of Spectacular Eyelashes, and Stardoll Academy Earrings
